Burning Rubber

Hello there crafty peeps! Just checking in to share my Rubber Stamped (gasp!!) card made for this week's Card Makin' Mamas challenge...

With all the amazing and versatile digi stamps available, my rubber stamps have begun collecting dust (and taking up space!!). This cutie pie is from Yumi & Fumi Handmade and is colored in with copics...

I'm also entering this cutie into the Color My Heart Dream Pop challenge as well as the Docerela Stamps Color challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! :)

Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy, down in my heart...

Hey there blog land! Here in Northern NJ we are DEFINITELY feeling like summer these days... 95 degrees today and the warm weather is sticking around!! :)

SOOOO, I had to whip out my COOLEST new Sassy girl for this week's Joy Fold challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty so I could play along with the rest of the SSD design team! :)

As always, the image was colored up with copics, but I really had the most fun making the background around Ariel! I'm still working on depth perception for my backgrounds, but this one was a nice change from the regular grass and sky I've been using on my recent cards. :)

Thanks so much for swinging by today and please do stay cool (or warm!!) wherever you are! :)

Congrats to the Class of 2013!!

I cannot believe the school year is coming to an end... It feels like just yesterday that the girls in the class of 2013 were coming into my school as freshmen. They were such BABIES!!! And they were so scared of me lol! :) The seniors that year were QUITE the group, and these freshmen were so meek and mild compared to them!

Fast forward and the class is now getting ready for graduation this Saturday. I can't believe it! They have matured so beautifully and I am so proud of the young ladies they have become. They have worked hard to get to where they are and I wish them all the best in their endeavors.

This card was made for this week's Craft Your Passion (Natural Items) and Sassy Studio Design's PCP Progressive Challenges. I had one particular student in mind when I made this one (thus the BA colors) but I think it'd be wrong to just give ONE kid a graduation card when I taught all 31 of them! :) Maybe I'll mail it...

The background stamp is from DRS Designs and Sassy Grad is from Sassy Studio Designs. You can get your OWN Sassy Grad for FREE if you join in with this month's progressive challenge at Paper Craft Planet, so head on over there to snag this cutie before she's gone! :) The "Congratulations" sentiment is from Close to My Heart...

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
Hey Sassy Peeps! Welcome back to another Monday and a Sassy Sponsored challenge! This time Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Creative Creations Challenge, which asks you to Paper Piece! :)

I am having SOOOOOO much fun playing with Lindsay's Sassy images, and I do hope you swing by the Sassy Studio's blog to check out all the options... They are HAWT!!!!!!

I'm also submitting this to Artistic Impressions' Paper Piecing challenge and Card Mania's Stripes/Spots challenge. Thanks for stopping by and I hope YOU have a Sassylicious day!

Make a Wish and Hop Along!

Hello there Sassylicious peeps!! Adina here with this month's Sassy Studio Designs Release! Lindsay outdid herself AGAIN this time around, with a Sassy Spin on our favorite Disney Princesses!

My daughter Melanie's favorite princess has always been Ariel, so I was psyched when I saw this gorgeous pinup, but I think you will all agree with me that this Ariel is NOT our little kids' version! :) She is SASSY!!! :)

I used a Make it Crafty background for Ariel's deserted island paradise and copics to color it all up... Red hair is still new for me, and I used E07, E09, R39, R29 to get the dark ginger look shown here. Then I stickled her all up! :)

If YOU want to win your own Sassy Ariel Pinup, or if you just wanna check out the other gorgeous eye candy the rest of my Sassy Sis (and bro!) came up with, make a wish, hop along with us, and join in the fun!

The Hop:
Adina (You are here!)

So what are you waiting for? Make your wish and come hop along!

This one was right on time for my son's birthday this past week (I can't BELIEVE he's three already!)... Although I didn't PLAN on him taking the card (thus the pink bow), as soon as he saw it he swore it was his birthday card and loved it... How could I say no??

I am submitting this one to the following challenges:

Feeling a bit... punchy. :)

Hey gang! With the new release of Gatsby behind us (have you seen it yet!?!... I have mixed feelings but LOVED Leo as Gatsby... Redford still has my heart though... And I hated the music... call me old fashioned, I know... LOVED the colors... I could go on...)

Anywhoo, with Gatsby released, this flappericious card is DEFINITELY apropos! :) Made for the Punches challenge at Card Makin' Mamas, this lil lady was a gift from Rick St. Dennis and she makes me VERY happy! :)

I don't quite love the brightness of the pic, but I enjoyed coloring her with my copics! :) I am submitting her to the following challenges:

365 Cards: Use at least five squares
Craft-Dee Bow: Use a handmade bow
Fashionista: Shabby or Vintage
Lexi's Creations: Black and White and ONE other color

Thanks for stopping by!

Nothing cowardly about THIS girl! :)

Hey gang, so so so sorry it's been so long since my last post... lol, actually, it hasn't been THAT long. But this one was due yesterday and I'm kind of behind now... I taught a copics class last night at my LSS (Scrap-A-Doodle Doo) and stayed out past my kids' bedtime... somehow it left ME exhausted! :) BUT I met some nice new copic-ers and I definitely am seeing progress in the class's coloring.

ANYWHOOOO, so this lil lady is the Cowardly Lion from Sassy Studio Designs' most recent release. I colored her in with copics (duh) and then glitzed her up a bit with stickles. I LOVE using my browns...

Copics: (Hair: E50, E53, E31, E33) (Clothes: E 50, E53, E23, E25, E27) (Fur: YR21, YR23, E23) (Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04)

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Digi with a Ribbon challenge over at 3 Girl Jam. I am also submitting her to:
Color Me Creative (Anything Goes)
One Stop Craft (Add some Glitter)
Our Creative Corner (Anything Goes)
Speedy Fox and Friends (Glitter)

Thanks for stopping by and have a scrappy day! I wish I could stay inside getting crafty... Today is dance recital rehearsal so at least I'll be taking some pictures so I can get scrappin' in the future! :)

Hugs!

"Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, and waste its fragrance on the desert air." (Emma)

Hello all! I can't believe it's Monday again! Where did the weekend GO? Today's project was created with an image from Bugaboo for this week's Craft Your Passion Flowers challenge.

This was colored using Copics (of course) and features some 7 Gypsies paper from my stash, a little bit of washi tape, and flowers that have been in my stash forever. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm loving the sunshine! Are YOU?

Hey gang! Today marks the advent of the newest Sunshine Mail Foundation challenge, involving BALLOONS! :)

Our sponsor this week was Bugaboo, and I absolutely loved the idea of trying to make the boy's balloons seem see-through. I'm not sure I loved how his nose and mouth came out, BUT I do hope my card brightens someone's day!

In order to play along with the Sunshine Mail Foundation, you would need to create a card that fits this fortnight's challenge of "Balloons" then you would send in your card (along with any other happy mail you have lying around!) into Stephanie at Sunshine Mail. And voila, you will have touched the life of a youngster in need. Many of the children we craft for are suffering form various forms of cancer or autoimmune disorders, and they are just in need of a little lift-me-up. Our cards and gifts provide that kind of warmth for them, by bringing them some smiles across the miles.

So when yo dig through your stash of happy mail, or as you create your next kid-centered project, think about sending in your goodies to this wonderful cause... trust me, it will make YOUR heart smile as well! :)

I will be submitting this card to the following challenges as well:
Simon Says Stamp (Just Because)
The Sisterhood of Crafters (Anything Goes)
Bearly Mine (Anything Goes)

Thanks for swinging by and have a Sunshine Day!

Charlotte is Sweet... and Sassy!

Hello there blogland!! Today's post is a quick one to showcase my niece's Sweet Sixteen card... It KILLS me that Gigi is SUCH a young lady now, but she STILL loves pink, so that's good! :) Her Sweet is this summer but we are planning decorations and such... She's going with a black and pink theme, with high heels and lipstick and grown up girl stuff that just makes me feel old! :)
For this card, I used Sassy Studio Design's Charlotte from the Sex and the City release... I HAD to have all the gals, and I am planning a group project featuring all four girls SOON... :)

I will also be submitting this card to the following challenges:
Just Us Girls (Colors)
Dilly Beans (Think Pink)
Stampin' for the Weekend (Punches/Diecuts)

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day! :)
