Hello there and happy first Monday of summer to you! :) I have NO idea what to do with myself now that there's so much TIME on my hands lol! I am planning to be VERY crafty, but somehow my housework seems to get in the way of that! :(
Anywhoo, it's another Monday, which means that this week's Craft Your Passion challenge is up and running! This week we were sponsored by Heather Ellis and the challenge is to take a walk in the garden...
So I whipped out my Tim Holtz shabby flower dies and tried to create a little piece of floral paradise using some Graphic 45 paper that was hanging around... I colored the image in with copics (skin: E000, E00, E11, E04; Hair E50, E53, E31; Dress/shoes: B00, B06) then I sponged the background in using distress inks (Forest green, Broken china, tattered rose)... I haven't yet decided which background technique is my favorite yet... I love using the copics because they give so much control, but the distress inks give such a whimsical appeal as well... Hmmmm.... :)
I added some white gel pen for interest, a technique I tend to overlook most times, and viola, there she is. :) She's actually already on her way to the Sunshine Mail Foundation to brighten a child's day... :)
I'm submitting this to Red Carpet Studio's Digital challenge as well as Stamping Sensations' Summer Blooms challenge.

Love the paper you used and the die-cut flowers. The sunset colors in the background of the image are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! She looks so sweet with the lovely colouring and the soft blended background. The flowers and butterfly create a beautiful frame for the image. Great paper choices.
